"Find the gap" is the first step in everything we build. But what counts as a gap, and how do we decide one is worth filling?
What a gap looks like
For us, a market gap is a place where people can't easily find what they need: the right product, a fair price, a clear answer, or a simple tool. The demand is there, but the options are scattered, hard to compare, or not built for the market they serve.
How we look for one
We start by exploring before we build anything:
- Search demand. What are people actually looking for, and how steady is that interest?
- Competition. Who already serves that need, and where do they fall short?
- Partner programs and suppliers. Is there a sustainable way for a platform to earn, through partners, suppliers or advertising?
- The local market. What rules, languages, currencies and customer expectations apply in the region we'd launch in?
Ideas get tested quickly and cheaply before they get serious investment.
From gap to platform
When a gap passes those checks, we build on open-source foundations and our own reusable templates, so a new platform goes live sooner and costs less to run. Then we launch it for its market and measure what works.
Our live platforms, from deal and comparison sites to free online tools, each started this way. See them all on our websites page.
